Food concepts has concluded arrangements to roll out 1,000 Chicken Republic stores across Africa in the next 5years. Paul Farrer, Chief Operations Officer (COO), of the company, disclosed this at the opening of its franchise store in Victoria Garden City (VGC) Lagos recently.
He noted that already, the company had started driving this objective with the opening of its first Chicken Republic store in South Africa last November. Food Concepts, which started operations in 2001 are the owners of four major food brands, including Chicken Republic, St Elmo's, Butterfield Bread and Reeds Thai Restaurant.
Its founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Deji Akinyanju said Nigeria will be the main market for the Chicken Republic franchise on the continent with about 300 of the 1000 stores planned for the country in 5years.
